In this genre, memoirs about horses are few and far between. Also, such memoirs typically reflect the viewpoint of the human observer. Since A Marvelous Mustang is told from the horse’s point of view, it is one of the few exceptions to this rule. My book is a pioneering attempt to reach into the mind and emotions of an equine prey animal to show how he thinks and feels about the human predators who have taken over his life.

Animal lovers will enjoy it, as will the millions of horse loves who have never had the privilege of owning a horse. Stories about horses are extremely popular, especially with young readers, but they generally fail to portray the time, effort, and knowledge required to keep, ride, train, and succeed with a horse. Unlike most of those books, the equine narrator comes across as a real personality and his story breathes reality.

People who have horses may also enjoy this book and find some useful ideas in it. Building a partnership relationship with a horse does take time and patience. A Marvelous Mustang illuminates what such a relationship can give to both horse and human.
